St. James Parish, Jamaica
Tour guides lead a 45 minute walking tour through Greenwood Great House — a Jamaican national monument that has been open to the public since 1976. Guides provide guests information about Jamaica’s history, the home’s legacy as well as the numerous artifacts and pieces of furniture on display.
We train our tour guides extensively but they must be able to retain historical facts, dates and anecdotes, and then relay that information to visitors in an entertaining, informative way. Other language skills are additive. Potential employees should have lots of energy and confidence, be able to work effectively without supervision, be willing to chip-in, possess a calm ‘customer focused’ manner, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
